Job 19:25-27

"25 I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. 26 And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; 27 I myself will see him with my own eyes-I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!"

Ezekiel 33:1-11

1 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 "Son of man, speak to your countrymen and say to them: 'When I bring the sword against a land, and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchman, 3 and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people, 4 then if anyone hears the trumpet but does not take warning and the sword comes and takes his life, his blood will be on his own head. 5 Since he heard the sound of the trumpet but did not take warning, his blood will be on his own head. If he had taken warning, he would have saved himself. 6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes the life of one of them, that man will be taken away because of his sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for his blood.'

7 "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 8 When I say to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you will surely die,' and you do not speak out to dissuade him from his ways, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. 9 But if you do warn the wicked man to turn from his ways and he does not do so, he will die for his sin, but you will have saved yourself.

10 "Son of man, say to the house of Israel, 'This is what you are saying: "Our offenses and sins weigh us down, and we are wasting away because of them. How then can we live?" ' 11 Say to them, 'As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD , I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, O house of Israel?'

We read this passage in church last week. Amazing implications for our responsibility to evangelize and make desciples.

God and space and time

Is God outside of time? Someone recently told me that they believe that God is not outside of time but rather in an infinite number of dimensions of time. But I have a prblem with that. It seems that to place God in any sort of dimension at all would be to constrain Him. To be in any number of space dimensions would be constraining. To be in any number of time dimensions would be constraining. Infinite is still a number. To deal with dimensions is to deal with movement. Does God move through time even if in an infinite number of directions and dimensions? Something tells me no. Dimensions were created and the Creator cannot be a part of them. Or were they created?

The problem with having an intuative mind instead of an analytical one is that things like this are difficult for me to analyze. My brain tells me that I am right but its difficult to tell why. Maybe someone with a diferent way of thinking could give this a little critical thought as well and tell me what they think. Everyone tell me what you think.

Hebrews 11:8

"By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going."

life

life continues. homework piles up. work is done. paychecks are recieved. goot times are had. Yeah been doing quite a bit of the socializing lately. Just got back from playing laser tag in our church building with a bunch of other Moody guys. Last night I went to a MNW students house for dinner and games with a bunch of other students. That was fun. Not much else is happening. Homework is getting to be more of a challenge time wise. And I have been working fewer hours this week too. though I did work nine hours today. I want to be working exactly twenty hours a week and I think I will start being able to get the hours I want at work. Im on all the manager's good side. =) I even come into work on time.

How Deep the Fathers Love for Us

How deep the Father’s love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure
How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory

Behold the Man upon the cross
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying Breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished

I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection
Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

Third Day

It doesn't take much
For me to shed a tear
And you have done so many things
To make me cry
Whenever I think
Of all that I've done wrong
And everything that you have done
To make it right

It doesn't take much
For my heart to break
And you have done it
For what's seems the millionth time

Flying Pics

Me in the back seat.

Aaron on the front seat scanning for traffic.

Lining up with Rnwy 3L.

Having fun (I'm flying in this picture).

On short final for Rnwy 3L. My house is the one in the foreground between the two trees and off by itself.

On base for another touch and go. You can see my house in the far right (though you probably can't tell if you don't know its there).

A pretty good view of Felts Field. We are just about to turn downwind for our last circuit.

On final for a full stop.

Places I've Been

Thought this might be cool. Just shows the diferent places I've been.
