God's Grace

Few things make me weep with joy and gratitude and amazement giving glory to God as does witnessing God's grace to one of His saints when He calls them home.

to
live
Christ
to
die
gain
Hallelujah

interesting you should post that. i just learned yesterday that the dear old lady i worked for at Sandy Cove a summer back died. i need more of the outlook you express there.

wow. i just learned a friend from Teen Haven died today. apparently all of a sudden... she was married just a few months ago after a wonderful courtship. she had the most amazing testimony, and just had so much love for girls at Teen Haven.

my weeping is not so joyous. my thoughts are too earthly, as i think of her Rodney, of her ministries, of her example... gain? yes, i know it is for her.

hallelujah.

this journey to heaven is hard. we are so short sighted and the pain is so great. God has the complete picture. a life that passes from earth continues to speak volumes to those left behind. our shortsightedness leaves us wondering why a vital ministry should be void of such a dynamic person, or the arms of a newlywed should be empty. in lives lived out for Christ, all is gain. we don't get to understand, but God is worthy of our full trust.

Christ's invitation to the weary stands today as always, "Come." Fall into his arms and rest in the truth that he is the everlasting, unchanging, fully capable God of the universe and for reasons again beyond our comprehension, he loves us, invites us and desires that we fall into his arms where it is safe, refreshing and we find nurishment for our souls. everlasting arms.
