Low pressure and the smell of wet earth

I have my two bedroom windows open and I had to put paper weights on my desk to keep my notes from blowing across the room because there is a stiff breeze blowing through. We are currently experiencing our first thunderstorm of the year. I love the thunder and lightning, the show of brute power. I love the low pressure with hightened sound and smell. I love the smell of wet dirt.

Im listening to Blessed be Your Name on the Newsboys' Devotion CD. I loved that song the first time I heard it. I want it played at my wedding and my funeral. It brings tears to my eyes.

You give and take away - You give and take away - my heart will choose to say - blessed be Your name

yeah, i love that song. I love newsboys...they've got some great songs. i love that one (can't remember what it's called) that talks about all the nations praising God...cause every time i hear it, i think about how, in heaven, we'll all be there together praising God...every tongue and every nation. So awesome!! =)

i probly ought to listen to that group more often, if i'm going to go to one of their concerts! i hear Blessed Be Your Name on the radio at times, and also like it. that verse has always been one of my favorites anyway. way to plan ahead, though!

(and i realize that putting the word "wedding" right beside the word "funeral" was unintentional... ;) )

ah, not quite unintentional. All the funerals I have been to were not the pitiful things they are made out to be. Ive only been to funerals and memorial services for missionaries that have finished their word down here. Nothing sad about that. No, my funeral is going to be a joyous occasion. I tell ya, I will be enjoying myself! Sure some of us will be seperated for a bit and I might leave a wife and kids but dont you think God knows that when he calls someone home? Ah, I await that day with anticipation. I dont really see too much difference between a wedding and a funeral when you are on God's side.
